DNA's Annual Meeting on March 19, 2026 was a huge success.  About 50 neighbors listened attentively to informative talks by:

  • Sonya Bellafont, Executive Director, New Mexico Legal Aid: spoke about the organization's work providing free civil legal assistance to low-income residents, victims of domestic violence, and veterans.

  • Terry Brunner, Director of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency and a former DNA chair who discussed urban renewal strategies including: Incentives for Development; Downtown 2050 Plan; Business Improvement District (BID)The Rail Trai, and the ABQ Parking Study

Attendees entered the FUSION! lobby to the groovy sounds of jazz-fusion music by Quadensio.

Walking into the main hall, neighbors stood before a large map of the DNA boundaries. Here, each neighbor placed a sticker on the map showing the location of their home. They could also leave their name in the raffle drawing for two gift certificates to Cafe Lush. Drawn at the conclusion of the meeting, two winning attendees left with very happy smiles. Cafe Lush catered the sandwiches, so all attendees were well fed during the meeting. Thank you, Cafe Lush.
